HELOC Access Update

Customer Notice regarding Home Equity Lines of Credit (HELOCs)

Effective immediately, Greenfield Savings Bank is updating our systems related to how a customer’s Home Equity Lines of Credit (HELOC) are displayed and accessed.

What is changing?
Our Online Banking service (accessed via our website, www.GreenfieldSavings.com) has been updated to no longer allow direct access to HELOC funds. While most HELOC account details will be displayed as they are today, transfers from HELOCs are being suspended. Should an attempt be made, an error message will be returned and the transfer will not be processed.
The Telephone Banking service has also been discontinued for all HELOCs. This change does not impact your ability to reach out to our Call Center, as directed below.

Why is this changing?
Identity theft and HELOC fraud are on the rise, particularly in the northeastern part of the United States. These changes are being made to better protect you, the HELOC account holder, and to protect the bank, from any unforeseen fraudulent activity.

What does this mean to me?
You can continue to disburse funds from your HELOC using any checks you have associated to that account. All the terms and conditions within your HELOC agreement remain in full force and effect. Also, there is the potential for increased outreach by the bank as we will be following up with customers directly should any questions arise. Finally, we also ask that you remain vigilant. If you see any unusual or suspicious activity associated with any of your accounts, please notify us immediately.
Greenfield Savings Bank thanks you for your support and understanding. We realize that you have many options for financial services and we appreciate the opportunity to be your bank of choice.

If you have any questions or concerns with this notice, please feel free to contact us at 1-888-324-3191, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
